MANZ is delighted to announce the recipient of the Dr Nicola Chisnall Memorial Award for 2021 is Montessori@Malfroy, Rotorua. Download and read here

We are excited to announce that the 2020 Dr Chisnall Memorial Award goes to Golden Grove School for their application entitled “Children’s Rights.” You can read their full application and that of other past winners here.

The recipient for 2019 was Ashleigh Millar from Meraki Montessori Primary School. This is to assist Ashleigh with her costs for the AMI 6-12 years diploma in Bergamo, Italy.

This year we had six applications for the Dr Nicola Chisnall Memorial Award, which was fantastic. It was also the first year MANZ offered $500 to the winning recipient. The winner of the Dr Nicola Chisnall Memorial Award 2018 was Montessori at Moturoa Primary School – Environmental Quest. You can read their application in Montessori Voices Issue 92 (Dec 2018).

MANZ Study Grant for 2018 was awarded to Tracey Bangs of Fountain City Montessori.  This was to assist with the costs of attending the MMEF AMI Montessori Assistants Certificate Course Birth to Three in September 2018.

Jane McLeod, from Little Earth Queenstown, is the recipient of the Binda Goldsbrough Research Fund.  Jane’s research is entitled “Repositioning the Montessori Method Within a Contemporary Mathematical Approach”

The winner of the Dr Nicola Chisnall Memorial Award 2017 was Wee Wisdom Paeroa. A little Wisdom Goes A Long Way ….. tells the story of building a future for the children of Paeroa.
