Hello!
My name is Sydney Mongiello and I hail from California. I’m currently enrolled in an AMI MACTE Elementary (6-12) diploma course in Portland due to graduate August 1, 2025.
My aim to undergo AMI training was to be able to work internationally, as my family wishes to reside in New Zealand.
Though, New Zealand holds that teachers must have degree qualifications. I possess a bachelor’s in Biology but do not possess a degree in education.
I wish to receive a Master’s Degree in Education so I may teach in the wonderful lands of New Zealand and I seek a school that may sponsor my aims.
Coming from a line of educators I am dedicated and passionate about caring and creating foundations for children. Montessori education allows for a harmonious structure which the children can grow and thrive. And it has become my aim to provide the soil for them to take root.
With your help I wish to inspire the children of New Zealand to dig deeper into their culture so that they can navigate their future endeavors. Though I am not from your lands, I have sought out the roots of my culture and only through it was I brought to Montessori Education.
Please reach out if there are any connections to be made, my CV and any documentation can be sent by request.

"Hello, our names are Semina and Arun, and we are a married couple of Montessorians in search of authentic schools and institutions which embody the method and create welcoming and loving environments the way Montessori envisioned it. We prefer to work in Casa or adolescent communities, but we both have short experience in elementary environments as well. Semina is Primary (3-6) AMI trained while Arun has the Primary (3-6) assistant diploma.
Both of us have recently obtained the Adolescent (12-18) AMI diploma and are currently working in a newly-built community for students aged 12-15 located in Czech Republic. We are planning to migrate to New Zealand aft the end of 2024 so we have started to look for potential employers and are also starting the lengthy process of recognizing our qualifications according to New Zealand standards. If you wish to hear more about our journey, please send us a message at seminasersinou@gmail.com; we would love to connect!
Whakawhetai koe, Arun and Semina "

My name is Elise. I am a qualified (Fully Registered) and experienced ECE Teacher seeking a Montessori Pre-School role.
Recently, I took the opportunity to learn a new philosophy after 9 years of teaching in mainstream ECE centres. In 2024 I enrolled in study (distance) at Te Rito Maioha-Diploma of Apperfield Montessori. I have now completed the course and expect to graduate in March this year.
This course is focuses on the delivery of the Montessori Curriculum alongside Te Whariki for Preschool Children aged 3-6 years old. As part of this course I am required to work 40 hours a week at a Montessori Centre to learn the practical components while studying theory. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to gain more experience and put my theoretical knowledge into practice.
I was recently working at a Montessori in the 0-3 year old room (for 9 months). This has been great experience however I would prefer to be based in the Pre-school room however there were no current vacancies.
So, I am seeking this opportunity elsewhere I will bring my enthusiasm for teaching, experience and commitment to ongoing professional development with me to your Centre in exchange for a Great Montessori Mentor (could this be you?) also the opportunity to be welcomed into the team and community. I am seeking a high-quality environment and team culture as this is how I can also grow and thrive whilst supporting each other and the children.
Since joining my current Montessori back in May I was placed in the (0-3 year old program) this has enriched my knowledge about Montessori philosophy by facilitating and observing learning in the Montessori environment whilst gaining knowledge from experienced Montessori teachers in the team.
I had a few occasions to visit the Preschool (3-6 year old classroom) to observe too. During this time I have had the opportunity to develop my practice with toddlers and implemented my expertise by offering the toddlers experiences that focus on Practical life such as Art, Baking, Gardening, Cooking, Early Montessori materials (puzzles, pouring, dropper and sorting activities), visits to the preschool garden as a means of extending their outdoor play area and in preparing them for their transition to the Preschool.
As part of my professional practice, I make a conscious effort to build strong relationships with whānau through professional conversations, transparency and working alongside them to help their children achieve aspirations of their parents by using this dialogue as a basis for writing the children’s learning journeys and evaluating their progress every four months. I pride myself on my ability to support new families in settling into the class through my patience and interpersonal skills.
I believe I am just beginning my Montessori journey, and I am ready and eager to take the next step.
Please feel free to send me an email or give me a call if you are seeking a Fantastic, Fully registered Pre-School Teacher.
I have a flexible schedule as I am now relieving.
Thank you,
Elise
