As with most initiatives and programmes for the education sector, it is important that you are well informed about the relevance to your work and implementing it.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to unpack and explore the NELP and discuss ways you can integrate it into your review and evaluation practice. We will also look at how you can align the NELP and the indicators in Te Ara Poutama in your internal evaluations.

Sandra Collins, Manager Methodology, Education Review Office
Sandra has extensive experience in education and evaluation. She has taught across the system including early childhood, primary and tertiary. Sandra also has experience as a professional development facilitator and prior to her current role worked in the Ministry of Education developing a self-review resource for early learning services. Prior to her current role she worked for seven years as a Review Officer in ERO, evaluating the performance of schools and early learning services.
From 2007 until the end of 2018 Sandra worked as a senior education evaluator in the Evaluation Services team in ERO’s National Office. Much of her work is focused on system-level evaluations and on methodology and indicator development. In late 2018 Sandra was appointed to a new role in ERO as Manager Methodology in the Methodology and Professional Practice team in ERO.
