Wā Ora Montessori School is a community-based school with close connections to our whānau (families) based in Lower Hutt, just 30 minutes from the capital city of New Zealand, Wellington, which was voted the Coolest Little Capital in the World (Lonely Planet). It is the only Montessori School in Aotearoa New Zealand that caters from 18 months to 18 years with the school being based close to bush walks, beaches, a great cultural scene and some of the world’s best restaurants, cafes and coffee.
We are looking for two enthusiastic, kind and caring guides to join our close knit and supportive team of around 60 staff to guide a 6-9 year class and a 9-12 year classes with the ideal candidates having face-to-face Montessori training and available to commence in February 2023 preferably. Experience, willingness and ability to take part in school activities is a condition of appointment.
Applicants must have, or be able to gain New Zealand teacher registration. A valid work visa would be advantageous.
