Due to one of our amazing teachers deciding to go travelling, Māori Hill Montessori currently has a vacancy for a New Zealand qualified ECE Kaiako with current New Zealand Teacher Registration to work in our preschool, located in Māori Hill, Dunedin.
The position is available from term 1 2024, January 22nd.
Previous Montessori experience is not essential, however an understanding of Montessori philosophy, or a Montessori qualification would be an advantage.
The responsibilities for this position are primarily co-leading the reading programme, baking, and morning tea during the morning and co-teaching the afternoon programme.
You will be working in a team of four ECE kaiako providing a programme that follows Montessori principles.
We are seeking a person who enjoys collaborating in a small team, and whose personal values and practice promote independence for tamariki. There will also be the opportunity for you to share your skills and strengths.
The position is full time, with some room for negotiation.
The Preschool follows Primary school terms, and is also open for one week of holiday programme during each term break.
We current pay extended parity rates and are working towards full parity rates over the next year.
