The Maria Montessori Education Foundation is seeking a Course Administrator, to work alongside the Director of Training for the next AMI 3-6 Diploma Course commencing in January 2023, in Auckland.
Ideally, the suitable applicant could transition into the role gradually from October – November onwards.
This may include attending NZQA workshops and webinars to become conversant with the Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of students and related NZQA procedures.
The independent contract position will be ongoing. Initially, during the 4-week course modules between January 2023 and May 2024. Hours 8-3p.m. 4 days per week. Currently, the modules fall within the school holidays and 1 week either side (subject to slight change).
Person specification, the ideal candidate will be:
• Montessori qualified (preferably AMI).
• Self-motivated and detail orientated.
• A respectful communicator with excellent written and spoken English
• Computer literate
• Reliable, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Able to take direction and use initiative for task completion
Task specification to include:
Liaise with students – health and well-being.
Monitor and collate daily student roll, attendance, and supervised practice hours.
Liaise with schools and environments re: student placements.
Become extremely conversant with The Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of Students.
A range of New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) paperwork including stakeholder questionnaires for monitoring & auditing purposes.
Internal moderation of student assessments.
Ad hoc. course administration – preparing reports, typing documents etc.
