Montessori at Ōtari Preschool is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated ECE teacher to join a nurturing, community-focused Montessori.
We are a community-based, not-for-profit school with close connections to our whānau, and located next to Ōtari Bush, Wilton. Our curriculum blends Te Whāriki and Montessori principles to support the holistic development of tamariki including as life-long learners with the confidence to positively contribute to their community. All our wonderful kaiako are experienced, early childhood and Montessori trained teachers. We work collaboratively to ensure tamariki feel a strong sense of belonging and are empowered to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.
The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity and warmth, ensuring that tamariki thrive in a safe, engaging and respectful environment while promoting Montessori principles in our unique context.
Requirements:
- Recognised ECE teaching qualification
- Current NZ Teaching Registration
- Montessori (3-6) Qualification would be advantageous but not essential, as long as the candidate is open to further training
- Collaborative, flexible, and committed to ongoing professional growth
- Must be a NZ Resident, Citizen, or hold a valid work permit
- Experience working with children in an education/care setting
