Position Overview: We seek an innovative English speaking Montessori Teacher for children aged 6-9 in a groundbreaking bilingual classroom. You’ll lead afternoon sessions focusing on English language acquisition while collaborating with a Chinese teacher who manages mornings. Ideal for educators eager to exercise autonomy and contribute to pioneering educational models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Montessori-based English lessons focusing on reading, grammar, writing, and cultural studies
- Create an immersive English environment encouraging self-directed learning
- Observe and assess student progress, tailoring instruction to individual needs
- Maintain a stimulating classroom environment aligned with Montessori principles
- Collaborate with the Chinese teacher
- Dedicate half your workday to developing new educational materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Montessori certification from a recognized institution
- Minimum 3 years teaching in Montessori settings with elementary-aged children
- Native-level English proficiency
- Experience with technology integration in education
