Daisy Cottage is an intimate Montessori Preschool, living together with 30 children each day, from 2 to 6 years of age. Our environment is about building community and our role as adults is one of modelling, we show what it looks like to be a kind, peaceful and trustworthy citizen, as well as displaying such a spark for learning that each of our children catches the same passion and love for continual growth.
This role is for 28-35 hours per week (4 days), and we require the following attributes from our successful candidate:
Qualifications:
A registered ECE or Primary teacher (in NZ). A third-year student nearing completion is welcome to apply.
A qualification in Montessori Pedagogy, or the ability to convey a significant understanding of it and the willingness to study Montessori as part of your role.
New graduates or experienced teachers are all welcome to apply. Suitable for qualified and registered ECE or Primary teachers only. The only exception we will consider is a third-year student nearing completion.
Commitment and Flexibility:
As a teaching team we enjoy life balance with no more than four consistent rostered days each week, however relief is maintained in-house so that our children are comfortable with all adults in their cottage at all times. We value our teaching team and have opted in to extended pay parity.
