From the Ancient Egyptians to present day! Geometry is everywhere in the world around us, both in natural and man made environments. It is a beautiful way to engage children who are yet to discover their own Mathematical Minds, and is an integral part of Cosmic Education.
Come join with like-minded primary kaiako to explore real life examples and applications of some concepts and lessons. This workshop will include some story telling, theory, art and a hands on component, which can be immediately and easily implemented in your 6-12 years environments.
What you need to bring to the workshop
For the hands on component, please bring a sharp pencil (mechanical pencils are best if possible), a ruler, a drafting compass and a book to work in (either a quad book or a blank notebook).
We will be going for a short walk outdoors if the weather is fine and possibly over uneven ground, so please wear appropriate footwear.
