Nova Montessori Primary School, for 6 to 9 and 9 to 12 year olds, is seeking a permanent primary (elementary) teacher in a team teaching position, beginning Term 2, 2020. Nova Montessori School, is a well-established Decile 8 independent Montessori school in Christchurch New Zealand, with a roll of 85 students in both its early childhood centre and primary school.
The school is modern, well-resourced and set in beautiful landscaped grounds beside the Avon River, close to a public wooded park and the estuary. Nova has a very supportive teaching staff, parent body and Board of Trustees.
We are seeking a permanent full-time state-registered, (or be willing to work towards gaining NZ state-registration through Recognition of Prior Learning) Montessori-qualified primary teacher to work with Y1–4 (6 – 9 year olds)
- You will be fully committed to the Montessori approach to education
- You will have experience in teaching in a Montessori classroom at the Y1–4 level, (6 -9 years of age) and / or
- You will have experience in working with children at the Y1-4 level, (6 – 9 years of age) and are willing to further undergo Montessori training
- You will have the ability to help build strong co-operative relationships with parents and colleagues.
