  • Location: Taranaki, New Plymouth
  • Work type: Permanent

[The teacher] will be able to say: “I have served the spirits of those children, and they have

Montessori.

The best teacher you can be is when you find the closest match to your core values.

What we can offer you: We are a purpose-built, community-based Montessori school with four
casa classrooms and a beautiful outdoor environment and programme. Ours is a strong
Montessori community linked to a nearby Montessori primary unit. Our classrooms are all well-
resourced and led by a Montessori trained kaiarihi (guide) and supported by 1-2 kaiako.

We are passionate about quality Montessori with a commitment to professional development and
continuous improvement. (We have 14 kaiako at the MANZ conference).

Are you looking to grow in an environment dedicated to Montessori principles? Do you believe
in the importance of peace and environmental education? Are you committed to authentically
deepen your bi-cultural practices? If you see your role as a facilitator – introducing the world
and its wonder to the children, nurturing within them a love of learning and a sense of
themselves as capable, confident and independent; then we would love to talk to you.

What we are looking for: A passionate Montessori kaiarihi with good leadership,
communication and team skills. NZ Teacher Certification preferred and AMI training
required. (In the event we are unable to recruit an AMI teacher, we will consider other face-to-face trainings).

This position is available from term 3, 2021 with a small degree of flexibility.
