What can we offer you: We are a purpose-built, community-based Montessori school with four casa classrooms and a beautiful outdoor environment and programme. Ours is a strong Montessori community linked to a nearby Montessori primary unit (which is part of a local state school). Our classrooms are all well-resourced and stocked. Each casa class is led by a Montessori trained teacher and supported by 1-2 teachers.
Our school has a strong focus on professional development and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Are you looking to teach in an environment with a commitment to Montessori principles? Do you believe in the importance of both peace and environmental education? If you see your role as a facilitator – introducing the world and its wonder to the children, nurturing within them a love of learning and a sense of themselves as capable, confident and independent; then we would love to talk to you.
What we are looking for: A passionate Montessori teacher with good leadership, communication and team skills for either our indoor or outdoor environment. (We have a degree of flexibility with where we place this teacher). New Zealand Teacher Certification and AMI training preferred. Only applicants with a face to face training will be considered.
This position is available from term 2 (May) 2019 with some degree of flexibility.
