Montessori International College, Sydney - Certified 6-9 and 9-12 Guides

Montessori International College is seeking two well-trained and experienced Montessorians for a fourth junior primary (lower elementary) classroom and for an
expanding senior primary (upper elementary) classroom. Both positions start in January 2018.

MIC offers potential candidates an opportunity to join a dynamic learning community. The College is situated on the Sunshine Coast, Australia and recently moved into a purpose built campus on 22 hectares. Montessori Beyond Coordinator for Montessori International College, Sunshine Coast, Australia - Early Years Teacher

Montessori International College is seeking a Early Years Teacher to Coordinate and advance the Montessori Beyond program.

The College is situated in Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast, Australia and recently moved to a purpose built campus on 22 hectares. Montessori International College is entering an exciting phase in its expansion and is becoming a preferred workplace for Australian and international applicants.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Education (Early Years). Familiarity with Montessori philosophy is preferable, though openness to its holistic, child-centered approach is essential. The position entails coordinating and designing the Montessori Beyond program, managing up to four other staff, liaising with parents, administration, as well as providing rich learning opportunities for children in enrolled in the program. Reliability, creativity, enthusiasm and initiative are essential characteristics for success in this position.

Hours are from 10am to 6pm five days a week during term, and variable shifts during vacation weeks between 7:30am and 6pm. Annual leave is included in this permanent position, along with sick leave and long service leave. The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $82,000 and is dependent on experience.

Teacher Qualifications
 AMI or MWEI Diploma in Montessori education 3-6 or 6-12 years
 Qualifications recognised by ACECQA as an Early Childhood teacher (3-6 year roles)
 Qualifications recognised by BOSTES NSW as a Teacher (6-12 year roles)
 Have a Working With Children Check clearance
 First Aid Certificate including accredited training in Asthma and Anaphylaxis
 Understanding of EYLF and the National Quality Standards (3-6 year roles)

Other qualities required include:
 Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
 A commitment to professional development in Montessori and Early Learning areas, relative to the position
 Support and encouragement of sustainability and the care of our environment
 Exposure to programming, planning and observations
 Reliable, good organisational skills, able to maintain appropriate documents and attention to detail.
