| New PLymouth MOntessori association, new plymouth, nz |
The New Plymouth Montessori Association; consisting of a casa for 3-6 year olds and a primary unit for 6-12 year olds has two exciting job prospects to announce: a permanent position at the casa level and a maternity leave position in the primary unit.
- We are looking for a Montessori trained teacher to head one of our four fully equipped 3-6 classes. The successful applicant would ideally have New Zealand teacher registration however this is not essential. Our casa has been in operation for 30 years, moving 11 years ago to a purpose built facility on 1.2 hectares of land. Each classroom has approximately 25 children and three teachers, with at least the head teacher having a Montessori qualification. In addition, we have two outdoor teachers and a resource assistant.
The position is available from Term 4, 2008.
- Exciting opportunity available to work alongside an experienced and highly qualified Montessori teacher at a respected Montessori primary unit within a supportive state school. The Montessori unit at Moturoa School, New Plymouth is looking for a teacher for the lower (6-9 year olds) primary Montessori class to cover a teacher on maternity leave. The successful applicant ideally would need to be eligible for NZ teacher registration and hold a Montessori primary teaching qualification. The Montessori classes offer an inquiry based learning approach with small classes and a strong community spirit within the enviroschool culture of Moturoa School. If you are looking to work in a country-school atmosphere in the city and the chance to experience a classroom with a different teaching and learning style, look no further.
This fixed term position will be available from September to December 2008 with the possibility that it could be extended beyond this date.
